We came here for brunch one morning and had pulled pork, breakfast strawberry waffles and matcha cold brew, costing about $47.
The pulled pork was superbly seasoned and actually reminded me of some rich indian mutton stew of sorts. The egg was perfect, not too creamy, not too wet, not too dry. The bread was really soft and the dressing for the rocket was off the charts. There was a wonderful balance of sweet and sour and it was a great palate cleanser for the rich pork flavours.
The pancake was…… different. It actually was quite similar to the muffcake we tried at Paddy Hills. This actually smelt like pancakes but has a texture of cake. I can’t say I hate it and I can’t say I love it. I think it would appeal to the masses though. The taste actually grew on me the more I had it. The great thing about this dish is that the amount of fruit was proportionate to the size of the pancake, so you get to enjoy the fruit with the pancake with every mouthful. Do try it and let me know what you feel.
The matcha cold brew was definitely delightful. Full of bittery matcha goodness matched with the lightness of the creamy milk.
Overall, it was a chill ambiance, fast service but slightly high prices. I would definitely want to come back to try other dishes for sure. Do take note it does get quite crowded at certain times of the day.
