It was a Monday afternoon and we decided to come here for dessert right after having fish soup. The restaurant is really cosy with clean decor and friendly staff.
After looking through the menu, we decided to have Sticky date pudding and a mocha cake. Mocha cake was out of stock. So we decided to have apple pie. Apple pie was out of stock. Also, they ran out of vanilla bean ice cream for our sticky date pudding… Okay.
So she decided to have the chia pudding which is a common item in most Melbourne cafes.
The chia pudding was plated rather beautifully and was a hit in terms of its texture and taste. The chia seeds were covered in a light and smooth coconut-like cream. The fruits added vibrant colour to the plate and was balanced in terms of sweet and sour flavours. Overall, she enjoyed every bite of the pudding as she reminisced about days in Melbourne.
The sticky date pudding was nice but it wasn’t something to rave about. It was not something I really wanted to have and I would have hoped they did not have so many items on the menu being out of stock even though it was a non-peak period on a Monday.
