Cass found out about this place and was super excited to try it out. For me, anything meat is always a sure-go. We went here on a weekday afternoon and it was empty, with a celebrity sitting across us and a group of tourists at another table.
The ambiance was hip and modern, very inviting for a young crowd. The variety of food they had was good but as expected, the prices were kind of on the high side, but I think that was due to the location they were situated at.
Being small eaters, we just ordered a mixed platter of meat and an omelette. The omelette speaks for itself, well seasoned and properly fried to a good crisp and a mildly soft center. The meats were actually kind of a let down for me. I love all sorts of roasted pork and having paid a good price for this, I had a certain level of expectation for this platter. Sadly, it was disappointing because the ‘char siew’ was extremely sweet and fatty and the ‘sio bak’ was literally close to 75% fats and did not have that nice crunchy skin.
Overall, I think it is a great space to chill-out with friends and to have a meal if you are close by.
