We came here for lunch one weekend just to enjoy some good quality sashimi. We ordered a signature set and salmon sashimi which cost about $80. The quality of the fish was great and presented beautifully as well. The signature set was served neatly as usual in japanese restaurants and taste wise, it was just acceptable.
The setting in the restaurant was authentically japanese and calming but I felt the price was on the high side for the quality and service we received.
Since it was closing in about 30 minutes, I felt the waiters were in abit of a rush. I’m a very practical customer because I have worked as a waiter before and in this instance, when you spent $80 on 2 dishes, I feel that the service was not pleasant. I knew I had more than enough time to eat, pay and clear the premise by at least 10 minutes before the closing time, but the waiters took the liberty to place the bill on all the four tables while we were still eating and expected customers to stop their meal, settle the bill and then finish up their food. I really didn’t like that at all.
Hope the management can come up with a system where the waiters are paid to at least 30 minutes after closing hours so they do not have to rush because I also think it would be unfair to expect them to work for free after closing hours.
Overall, I found the food just alright and the service remains to be improved.
