I think I have visited this place about 3 times and it is my favourite place for a simple breakfast in Bangkok. They are open really early and usually quite a distance away from where I am used to staying in Bangkok but I think the cab fare is worth the experience and the food.
One thing you will realise is that there are so many locals eating here. It is definitely slightly rundown but still oozes with old-school charm, yet it is clean and comfortable.
I especially love their Kaya which is basically a coconut jam. It is creamy and smooth and it tastes different from the kaya we have in Singapore. I am a huge fan of kaya and I absolutely love theirs. The only issue about bringing it home is that they said it lasts for 2 to 3 days only because no preservatives are added.
They have an English menu and it is easy to communicate with them. The service is very fast and the food tastes good too. Price is surely affordable and eating like a local is something I love experiencing in various countries.
So wake up early, take a cab or walk from the nearest train station to this shop and eat like a local as well; you will love it.
