We came here just to chill and have an early dinner. I think we were quite early because there weren’t any staff manning the entrance to the restaurant so we decided to climb up the stairs on our own. Once we reached the top, the waiter then noticed us and directed us to a table.
First impression; a restaurant with very artsy deco which feels classy but not over doing it. It was very interesting to appreciate the art all around without it being too messy. It was certainly whimsical and eclectic and she enjoyed the beautiful walls which were filled with hand-painted flowers.
Food wise, I enjoyed my really juicy lamb burger. The smell of the grilled lamb tickled my nose as I quickly unwrapped the plastic around the burger. I did a squeeze test and the patty oozed with delicious juice. I just wanted to sink my teeth into it! When I took a bite, the meat was soft and tender. It’s probably one of the best lamb burgers I’ve had. I got her to try it and she agreed.
She enjoyed her hotdog as well. It was a huge bratwurst. The meat was juicy with every bite and the hint of spice in the meat was delectable. She loves spicy food! However, she did prefer my burger over the hotdog.
We also had their Naughty Fries. As I don’t eat beef, the waiter was kind enough to suggest to remove just the beef from the dish, which we felt was a great idea. We liked that the fries were cut and prepared in-house. However, I felt it was a bit cold.
To end the meal off, we chose to have Mr Cobblepot, which was a spiced blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. It was a good blend of sweet and sour. The cobbler was soft and crumbly and the ice cream didn’t melt too quickly. Nothing extraordinary but good to try.
Overall, I think this is an excellent place to sit back and relax but I’m not too sure how it’ll feel like during the peak periods. Definitely worth bringing a date or some friends to chill. There’s also a rooftop bar which you may like to visit.
