I have always loved taiwanese food and when we heard about this place, we were quite interested to try; especially after the bad food we had at the other taiwanese restaurant.
First impression, the restaurant is slightly small so reservations are quite important. The decor was simple yet pleasing but the seating was a little cramped. The lack of a menu with pictures was disturbing because you have no idea how the dish would turn out but we made do.
We ordered brinjals, chicken and pork. The brinjals tasted very clean and the fried dried shrimp was perfect compliment to the dish. The burnt chilli chicken was amazing because of the chilli padi! We really loved this dish! The braised pork looked amazing and it was incredible! The portion was totally worth the $10 but I found it a little too sweet after awhile. The $3 red tea was not worth it although it was refreshing.
Overall, this is a fuss-free restaurant serving delicious food at a great price in an amazing touristy location as well. I would definitely patronise them again when I’m craving for some taiwanese food.
